LearnDash is possibly the most robust option if you need academic level features like SCORM. It also has some of the most advanced quiz options of all the Learning Management Systems. It’s robustness does come with added complexity, so it is not the easiest to configure and use.
LifterLMS is the only Freemium option in the bunch. You may download it to use and only pay if you decide to need support, their premium theme, or a premium extension.
Sensei is the Learning Management System created by WooThemes, the force behind WooCommerce. As such, it may be a perfect option for sites running WooCommerce that want to add online courses and build out a learning platform.
WP Courseware is an easy to configure and use Learning Management System for WordPress. It focuses only on creating and delivering courses, so other plugins must be used to sell and manage access to the courses. Membership plugins like Paid Memberships Pro can be configured for this along with WooCommerce. WP Courseware does not support multiple instructors
